Thanks for being here! 2024 burst into action with an unexpected offer. In 2020 I began a practice of photographing circles, connecting with my camera and using my travels to expose the novelty and sameness of everywhere. I never expected the stack of Polaroids in my purse to become anything more than a business card and conversation starter, but they’re about to be printed and hung at Urban Cultural Arts!
A fabulously successful reception was held on May 2nd and it was incredible to be surrounded by friends and family! My sister even flew in to make it to the reception, and the surprise had me in tears! It was transformative to take up space and use myself to honor so many who have supported this journey, my photography, and who share themselves authentically.
Circular Journeys is an ongoing project which can only expand. Expect images from Seattle and Chicago, a tour around Lake Michigan, and artist residencies in 2025! As much as this is a passion project there are several ways to support its continuation. Here are some ways to support this collection of stories and images…
1. Book a photography session! This keeps me behind the camera and doing what I love most and usually the pictures turn out.
2. Purchase a framed piece! While 30 of these images are ready-to-find homes, there are hundreds of images in the collection that can be prepared and hung in your favorite places. There are also several small print options and greeting card sets.
3. Order the book! Additional editions will be available as the collection grows.
4. Refer the Circular Journeys collection to a gallery! Is there a perfect fit for these pieces somewhere in Wisconsin? Help us to connect by referring the collection, or forwarding the gallery’s information in the contact form, or by email at CaptureThyme@gmail.com
5. Sponsor images in a future showing! Access the sponsorship & sales details here or feel free to email me directly at
6. Venmo, CashApp, or Paypal! Sweet, simple, keeps me stocked in paint, prints, and stress-free.
7. Just be nice! I’m not always nice, but I do give it my best go. Living is about having a good time and minimizing harm to ourselves and others. If the only you can do after getting this far in the post is hold a door for someone, or compliment their earrings, that is enough. If you need to give yourself kindness or forgiveness that is enough too.
I’m so looking forward to sharing more with you!
